GOLDEN CANDY was hustled from the gate, pressed the pace on the outside of the leader while carried well out in the track, moved in leaving the backstretch, vied in the three path on the turn, took the lead into upper stretch, shook clear under the crop into the final furlong, drew away under the crop into the final sixteenth then was placed under a strong hand-ride to the finish while much the best. VINSANITY broke out at the start, chased the pace on the outside then in the four path on the turn, gained to make a bid outside the quarter-pole, battled outside of two foes under a drive in upper stretch and proved no match for the winner while able to get the place. PAXSATIONAL was hustled to the front, drifted well out in the track while setting the pace under pressure to his outside, angled in leaving the backstretch, vied in the two path on the turn, lost the advantage into upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but held the show. ROYAL TRYST broke a step slow then dropped back, angled in early while falling well behind the rest of the field under urging, saved ground on the turn, moved off the rail in the stretch and improved with late energy. NARCISO DALI was fractious in the gate, chased the pace after being hustled from the start, angled in near the nine-sixteenths pole, raced inside for most of the turn, shifted to the two then three path late on that bend, spun into the stretch in the five path and came up empty.
