JUST WORDS followed the leading duo from third, dropped from the three path to the rail early on the turn, gained going around that bend, cut the corner into the stretch, made a bid inside of the leader near the three-sixteenths pole, took the advantage inside the furlong marker, fought with the runner-up into the final sixteenth and proved best under steady urging. MELANCIA pressed the pace on the outside while detached from the rest of the field, took the lead in the four path midway through the turn, shook clear while still in the four path at the quarter-pole, led under a drive into the final furlong then was headed by the winner, fought with that foe into the final sixteenth and was outfinished while clear for the place. KYLE'S MOM dropped back after the start then was urged at the rear, drifted out near the nine-sixteenths pole, went around the turn in the four path, turned into the stretch in the six path and improved with late energy to get the show. TECA was urged along on the outside, dropped from the four path to the three path early on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed kick. SECRET FIRE was last away then dropped back, had the rider reach down and adjust his left iron, raced towards the rear under urging, rounded the turn in the two path and was no factor. AERIALIST went to the front, set the pace under heavy pressure to her outside, vied along the rail on the turn, lost the lead with three furlongs to run, dropped back at the quarter-pole and stopped then was eased but walked off.
