Footnotes
UNCAGED broke in then bumped with a rival, jostled with foes on both sides early then dropped back, moved out near the seven-eighths pole, settled on the outside, was roused in the four path on the turn, rallied outside in upper stretch, closed strongly to get the lead at the sixteenth-pole then moved clear under steady handling. ON THE MOUNT showed speed and led early then pressed the pace on the inside, drew even with the leader near the five-eighths pole, took a short lead at the seven-sixteenths pole, vied inside of a foe while along the rail on the turn, shook clear under the crop in upper stretch, led to the sixteenth-pole then was overtaken while able to hold the place. TRACKING ERROR jostled with a rival early, settled on the outside, dropped back under urging with five furlongs to run, moved in to save ground on the turn, turned into the stretch in the two path then shifted further out, gained while chasing into the final furlong, moved in around the sixteenth-pole and missed the place while well clear for the show. UNCLE JIM settled in third position, chased in the three path through the turn, pursued the leader under a drive into the final furlong and tired. TOGA D'ORO was bumped at the start and forced into another rival, settled off the pace, dropped back entering the main-track, went around the turn in the two then three path, angled out in upper stretch and was no factor. GEORGIA MAGIC bumped soundly with a rival at the start, moved up to get the lead outside the three-quarter pole then set the pace under pressure to his inside, lost the advantage at the seven-sixteenths pole, vied in the two path while outside of a foe on the turn and capitulated.
