FRANTIC followed the leader early then dropped back near the five-eighths pole, ranged up in the four path on the turn, made a bid coming to the quarter-pole, took the lead in upper stretch, shook clear under a solid hand-ride inside the furlong marker, extended the advantage into the final sixteenth then was put under lighter encouragement while much the best. PANDEMIC HERO bumped with a foe just after the start then quickly sped clear, opened up a sizable advantage, moved from the rail to the two path on th turn, had his lead diminish late on that bend, lost the advantage to the winner in upper stretch, fought with that foe into the final furlong and was outfinished while just able to get the place. DARK DEVIL was coaxed along in third position, raced between horses in the two path on the turn, moved closer late on that bend, spun into the stretch in the four path, chased the top two into the final furlong and lacked the needed kick then just missed the place while able to get the show. PARTY WITH SMARTY bumped with a foe just after the start, was urged along off the pace, saved ground on the turn, moved closer late on that bend, turned into upper stretch under a drive and also lacked the needed kick. BOBBY BOB raced between foes early, tossed his head when the winner dropped back and steadied nearing the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the two then three path, moved closer late on that bend, came out to the five path into the stretch and lacked the needed response. TEARS IN RAIN was urged along on the outside, traveled around the turn in the five path and failed to respond.
