Footnotes
PINEAPPLE MAN broke alertly then was hustled, contested the pace on the inside of a rival, vied along the rail while still inside that foe on the turn, responded well when asked approaching the quarter-pole, came off the rail into upper stretch then shook clear near the three-sixteenths pole, came under a right-handed crop shortly thereafter and held under strong urging. AZ U CHASE ME settled off the pace, moved closer inside the three-quarter pole, was urged along late on the backstretch, shifted from the rail to the two path while chasing on the turn, angled out while in pursuit of the leader in the stretch, gained on that foe late and finished with good courage but missed while clear for the place. PROVISION settled on the outside, was roused in the three to four path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path while under the crop and lacked the needed response while just up for the show. ERIC FROM MIAMI stalked the leading duo on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, chased in the three path on the turn, spun into upper stretch in the four path and weakened then lost the show. SIN NOMBRE disputed the pace on the outside, vied in the two path while asked on the turn, came into the stretch in the three path and tired. JANSSEN was last to commence, settled near the back, was urged along in the two then three path on the turn and failed to respond.
