Footnotes
QUICK HAMMER went to the front then showed the way with some company to his outside, moved to a solo lead near the nine-sixteenths pole, was asked in the two path midway through the turn, responded well when put to a right-handed crop in upper stretch, drew off into the final furlong, widened while remaining under the crop until outside the sixteenth-pole then was eased up while much the best. BROOKLYN STRONG was urged along off the pace, moved in with five furlongs to run, saved ground on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and got up for the place. HIGH TIDE was carried in at the start, showed speed then stalked the pace on the outside, was asked in the three path on the turn, chased the winner into upper stretch and lacked the needed kick while just able to get the show. FLAT OUT FLYING dropped back after the start, settled at the rear, saved ground on the turn, squeezed through inside of an opponent in the stretch and improved to just miss the trifecta. ICE ROAD broke in at the start, settled on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the three then four path, turned into the stretch under the crop and lacked the needed response. ALLURE OF MONEY showed speed then pressed the pace on the outside of the leader, dropped back under urging late on the backstretch, came up empty in the two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the three path and faltered then was eased but walked off.
