Footnotes
THE BIG CALHOUNA stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid in the three path on the turn, took the lead into upper stretch, shook clear under a drive outside the furlong marker, drifted out inside that marker and proved best under steady urging. SPEIGHTFUL LILY tossed her head when the rider grabbed the left-rein at the start but broke with the field, went to the front then showed the way, vied inside on the turn, was asked under threat with three furlongs to run, lost the advantage into upper stretch and was outfinished while able to get the place. GRAMMY GIRL veered out at the start and was off a step slow, settled on the outside, was asked in the four path on the turn, turned into the stretch under the drive, chased the winner to the finish and lacked the needed kick while able to secure the show. SARIR angled in early then tracked the pace, chased in the two path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the three path and also lacked the needed kick. LADY MINE broke awkwardly and was off a step slow, moved out at the rear near the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the four then five path and failed to threaten. MURSAL broke out and made light contact with a foe, established a good position just off the pace, saved ground on the turn, was given her cue outside the five-sixteenths pole, turned into upper stretch under a drive and came up empty. BEST IMPRESSION broke in a bit at the start, was lightly rated off the pace, went around the turn in the three path while put to urging, moved out in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. ALL CLASS settled towards the back, was urged along in the two then three path on the turn and failed to threaten. MAGGY'S PALACE was bumped lightly at the start, raced near the back, rounded the turn in the three then four path and showed little. JACKSON'S DIXIE settled off the pace, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, dropped back while moving from the two path to the rail on the turn and faltered.
