Footnotes
PERUGIA stood in the gate at the start and was off slow, spotted the front a couple lengths, moved up quickly through a rail opening, took the lead outside the five-eighths pole then showed the way, went around most of the turn in the two path then dropped to the inside, responded well when asked near the quarter-pole, shook clear outside the furlong marker then was put to a right-handed crop, drew off under a strong hand-ride into the final sixteenth, was given one pop of a left-handed crop shortly thereafter then was placed back under a hand-ride to the finish while much the best. SUNSHINE LILY chased the pace down the backstretch, drafted inside on the turn, was asked while moving to the two path outside the quarter-pole, swung into the stretch in the four path and got up for the place while no match for the winner. JULITA broke out and bumped soundly with a rival, was coaxed along off the pace, ranged up in the four path on the turn, made a bid near the five-sixteenths pole, battled outside under a drive in upper stretch, drifted out some while dropping back near the furlong marker and weakened then lost the place but held the show. BROKEN ZIPPER lost her footing at the start then brushed with a foe, was urged along on the outside, dropped from the six path to the three path early on the turn, continued in the three path for most of that bend then moved to the rail and failed to threaten. LOLLIPOPS brushed with a rival at the start, angled in while showing speed then tracked the pace on the outside, made a bid in the three path midway through the turn, dropped to the two path outside the quarter-pole and tired. MEGA CHANGER broke out at the start, was urged along at the rear, saved ground on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole and was no factor. BODEGAS was hustled from the gate then urged along off the pace, went around the turn in the five path and came up empty. INAMORATA bumped soundly with a rival at the start while off a step slow then dropped back while taken up some, spotted the front a few lengths, angled in while off the pace late on the backstretch, went around most of the turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, turned into the stretch in the four path and had nothing left.
