GARAMOND went to the front then showed the way on the inside of a rival, vied along the rail on the turn, was asked a bit late on that bend then roused for more near the quarter-pole, battled inside of the runner-up under a left-handed crop into the final furlong, shook clear outside the sixteenth-pole and proved best under steady urging. CORNUCOPIAN bumped solidly with a rival at the start, stalked the pace on the outside, turned up the pressure in the two path on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, came under a left-handed crop in upper stretch, battled outside the winner into the final furlong, dropped back into the final sixteenth and weakened while just able to get second. MY MITOLE bumped solidly with a rival at the start, moved out early then settled outside at the rear, was asked in the two path early on the turn then moved to the three path later on that bend, turned into upper stretch under the crop, chased the top two while remaining on his inside lead in the drive and just missed second.
