Footnotes
CONFABULATION broke out then was corrected by the rider, disputed the pace on the outside, controlled the action in the two path on the turn, shook clear when asked for his best in upper stretch, responded well under a right-handed crop in the final furlong and held under strong urging. ALWAYS BE SMART was shut-off at the start and slow into stride, spotted the front a few lengths, moved out then advanced under urging, made a bid with six furlongs to run, vied in the three path on the turn, lost touch with the winner while remaining on his inside lead between horses in upper stretch, swapped to the proper lead coming to the eighth-pole, kept on in pursuit of that foe in the final furlong and safely secured the place. TRUE CONNECTION was bumped at the start then forced inward into another foe, established position just off the pace, drafted in the two path for most of the turn, shifted to the three then four path while roused late on the bend, was driven into the stretch in the five path, pursued the winner into the final furlong and weakened while clear for the show. WAJDA veered in at the start and bumped with a rival, was well placed just off the pace, drafted inside on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole then was asked in the three path into the stretch, chased the winner under a drive into the final furlong and also weakened. LCGOLUCKY was bumped at the start and forced in, raced at the rear under urging, saved ground on the turn, came off the rail outside the quarter-pole and was no factor. MANO E MANO bobbled at the start, pressed the pace down the backstretch, was urged along in the four path on the turn and came up empty. JUST BE HONEST broke out then was hustled, chased the pace on the outside, went around the turn in the four then five path and faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
