LUCILLE BALL chased the pace from third position, gained in the four path to make a bid outside of two foes on the turn, drifted in while battling outside of the runner-up in upper stretch, shook clear coming to the furlong marker and drew away under steady urging. MORE THAN GRACE came away well, chased the pace from second, gained in the three path to make a bid on the turn, dropped in while battling with the winner in upper stretch, lost touch with that opponent into the final furlong and proved no match while clear for the place. HAY EVABODY broke very alertly and went straight to the front, showed the way off the inside, vied in the two path on the turn, lost the lead under pressure near the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back into the stretch then moved out and weakened. SAVE THE QUEEN was a bit reluctant to load, moved in early then was urged along off the pace, shifted from the rail to the three path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response. WIND FLOWER came inward at the start then was hustled, settled under some urging, moved in outside the five-eighths pole then established a good position, was roused while inside to the two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the four path and came up empty. GAME CHASER was last to commence, dropped well behind under urging, went around the turn in the three to four path and was no factor. MELANCIA was urged along on the outside, angled in outside the half-mile pole, shifted from the two path to the four path on the turn, dropped to the three path at the quarter-pole then moved out in upper stretch and failed to respond.
