BETTRLUCKYTHANGOOD three wide through the first turn, chased four then three wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, swung six wide into upper stretch, rallied to issue a challenge inside the final furlong, got on near even terms a sixteenth out and dueled head to head with the runner up taking narrow command seventy yards from home and gamely fended off that foe to prevail. BORN DANCER broke in at the start bumping CLEAR CONSCIENCE, raced along the inside through the first turn and then three wide down the backstretch, came under coaxing three wide at the three-eighths, angled four to five wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a sixteenth from home, dug in head to head fighting game to the finish but was ultimately bested on the line. LAUREL VALLEY established the front and showed the way in hand along the inside safely clear, had the field take closer order and came under coaxing near the quarter pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was collared at the sixteenth marker, kept on to preserve the show honors.
