Footnotes
TUX pressed the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, was roused outside the five-sixteenths pole after dropping back some, chased the runner-up into the final furlong, gained to get the advantage outside the sixteenth-pole then drew clear under steady handling. MATH TUTOR broke very fast and went straight to the front, showed the way while inside of a rival, vied inside on the turn, shook clear near the five-sixteenths pole, turned into the stretch in the two path, came under a right-handed crop while under threat inside the furlong marker, lost the advantage to the winner outside the sixteenth-pole and proved no match while just able to get the place. A BOURBON FOR TOBY chased the pace, went around most of the turn in the two path then dropped to the rail, pursued the leader along the rail into the final furlong, moved out outside the sixteenth-pole and just missed the place while clear for the show. SALAMIS moved out then was urged along on the outside, chased in the four path on the turn and weakened. PEAK PERFORMER was off slow and spotted the fast breaking leader several lengths, raced at the rear while ridden along, dropped from the three path to the two path early on the turn, turned into the stretch in the three path and was no factor.
