VENENCIA (FR) broke a step slow, settled on the inside, moved to the two path late on the far turn, swung five wide into the stretch the moved further out, rallied outside into the final furlong and closed strongly to get up in the final sixteenth and narrowly prevail. BREATH AWAY (GB) settled on the inside, moved out to the four path going around the far turn, made a bid at the three-sixteenths pole then took the lead, led under a drive into the final sixteenth but was caught while clear for the place. ROOT CAUSE angled in early, saved ground while unhurried towards the back, saved ground on the far turn, came out into the stretch then moved further out, gained while chasing the leader into the final furlong, loomed a threat into the final sixteenth but was out-kicked while able to get the show. DELAHAYE tucked in nearing the first turn, settled in the two path, came three wide into the stretch then moved further out while gaining into a good strikng position, chased into the final furlong and weakened then was transported off the track via equine ambulance and was reported to have bled. QUARREL bumped with a rival at the start, went to the front, showed the way while inside to the two path, lost the advantage in upper stretch and gave way. EDICT (ARG) raced in the three path on the first turn, prompted the pace on the outside, chased in the two to three path on the far turn, made a bid outside the quarter-pole, dropped back into the final furlong and also weakened. CANISY was hustled from the gate, went three wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, was roused while three to five wide on the far turn, moved out in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. PAYOUT RATIO (IRE) bumped with a rival at the start, was rated just off the pace on the inside, saved ground while let out on the far turn and came up empty.
