Footnotes
PRINCIPE D'ORO bumped hard with a rival at the start, pressed the pace on the outside, chased in the two then three path on the turn, came out into upper stretch then re-engaged the leader, took the advantage outside the sixteenth-pole, fought with the runner-up to the finish and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. CERTIFIED LOVERBOY was hustled to the front, set the pace under pressure to his outside, moved clear near the seven-sixteenths pole, vied inside to the two path on the turn, came under the crop in upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner outside the sixteenth-pole, fought on with that foe to the finish and just missed while clear for the place. O P FIRECRACKER was hustled after breaking well, moved out while urged along off the pace, went around the turn in the four then five path and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. ICE TIME bumped hard with an opponent at the start, was urged along at the rear, angled in entering the main-track, moved from the rail to the two path early on the turn, reached near the three-path later on the bend and was no factor. CHILENO was hustled from the gate then coaxed along on the outside, went around the turn in the three then four path, turned into the stretch in the five path and came up empty. VICTORS VALIANT settled off the pace, angled in inside the three-quarter pole, dropped back under urging late on the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and failed to respond.
