Footnotes
CUMBERLAND BLUES just off the inside through the first turn, chased briefly three wide before tucking inside midway down the backstretch, tipped to the two path placed to brief urging at the three-eighths, advanced and paused near the quarter pole behind foes, came under brief urging spinning just off the inside into upper stretch before pausing again awaiting clearance, got a clear lane between foes nearing the eighth pole and was roused on through splitting rivals to take command inside that station, dug in head to head with the runner up and gamely fended off that foe to the finish. VALENZAN DAY coaxed from the gate, raced four then three wide through the first turn, chased four then three wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung four to five wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a furlong out, got displaced narrowly from the front inside that station and fought gamely head to head to the finish but was ultimately denied on the wire. BLAKE B. coaxed from the start, chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, swung three wide into upper stretch, dug in prominent to the eighth pole, weakened in the late stages. COMMANDPERFORMANCE off half a beat slow, chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, swung three wide into upper stretch, improved position to the finish. OPTIC WAY broke out at the start taking over the lane of COMMANDPERFORMANCE, dueled inside coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, took the inside route into upper stretch and yielded the front just outside the eighth pole, then weakened through to the finish. STRONG LIGHT chased five then three wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung four to five wide into upper stretch, weakened. DADDY KNOWS shied out at the start, raced forwardly placed four wide through the first turn, chased five then four wide coming under urging with three-eighths to go, angled six to seven wide into upper stretch and tired. STEADY PROGRESS three wide through the first turn, dueled three then two wide, came under urging and faded three furlongs from home, tipped four wide at the head of the stretch, tired.
