BISHOPS BAY tracked the pace on the outside, was given his cue in the three path on the turn, chased the runner-up under a drive into the final furlong, gained into the final sixteenth and got up late to narrowly prevail. MIKA was hustled to the front then showed the way, extended the advantage late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path, was asked outside the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker, switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole, led into the final forty yards but was caught while clear for the place. CRAZY MASON dropped back early then was urged along towards the rear, moved from the rail to the two path on the turn and improved position to garner the show. PHILEAS FOGG was rated behind horses, moved out inside the three-quarter pole, was let out near the nine-sixteenths pole, raced in the four path while asked on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. PENTATHLON was well placed just off the pace, came under urging while inside to the two path on the turn, swung out to the four path into upper stretch and came up empty. BRAZENLY dropped well behind the rest of the field, moved from the two path to the rail on the turn and showed little.
