FRIC AND FRAC was hustled from the gate, established a good position just off the pace, drafted in the two path on the turn, was asked outside the quarter-pole, gained in the three path into the stretch then made a bid on the outside, drifted in while battling with the runner-up inside the furlong marker, dueled with that foe to the finish and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. ARMY PROUD pressed the pace on the outside, drew even with the leader in the three then two path on the turn, took the advantage just inside the three-eighths pole, turned into upper stretch under a drive, dueled inside of the winner to the finish and was denied while clear for the place. NORDIC FYRE broke very slow and spotted the front several lengths, was urged along towards the rear, angled from the three path to the five path on the turn and finished willingly for the show. HELLO NEWMAN tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the four then three path on the turn, spun into the stretch under a drive and weakened. ISLAND CHARLIE angled in while going to the front, showed the way on the inside of a foe, vied along the rail while roused on the turn, lost the lead just inside the three-eighths pole, dropped back into the stretch and tired. MONTE AVI was urged along well off the pace, went around the turn in the two path and failed to threaten. DR. MERCILESS angled in while settling off the pace, was roused in the four path on the turn and failed to respond. STROBE LIGHT was ridden along near the back, saved ground on the turn and showed little. UNTIL LAST CALL was urged along off the pace, traveled around the turn in the two to three path and faltered. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN, NO CHANGE WAS MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH
