LEADING ROLE hustled from the gate, showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside under pressure from COOL HAND RICH to the outside, came under coaxing at the three-eighths marker, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, edged clear under a drive to score. MAJESTIC ARC chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn coming under encouragement at the three-eighths pole, swung six wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive running on to secure the place honors. COME FULL CIRCLE took the overland route six to seven paths off the inside down the backstretch and then five wide through the turn under a ride from three furlongs out, went nine to ten wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to procure the show honors. SHOOT THE NICKEL got bumped at the break by ZAKAT due to pressure from WAJDA coming inwards and then got bumped again by that rival due and in turn bumped COUSIN ED into DOOMED this time due to pressure from COOL HAND RICH coming inwards from the outside when shying in from the tucking MAJESTIC ARC, chased two then three wide down the backstretch before heading four wide through the turn, went nine wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild bid. WAJDA broke in at the start bumping ZAKAT into SHOOT THE NICKEL, then got bumped by COOL HAND RICH and bumped repeated the chain of bumps, chased four then two wide under a ride from the three-eighths pole, spun three wide for home and weakened in the late stages. COOL HAND RICH had MAJESTIC ARC tuck inwards from the outside and shied in from it bumping WAJDA into ZAKAT and causing a chain of bumps down through DOOMED, advanced to press the pace five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn coming under urging at the five-sixteenths pole, swung four to five wide for home and weakened in the final furlong. DOOMED got bumped after the start in the chain of bumps begun by the aforementioned foe, chased two to three wide under a ride from the three-eighths marker, went eight wide into upper stretch and had no kick. ZAKAT got bumped at the start by WAJDA and in turn bumped SHOOT THE NICKEL, then got bumped by that same rival again due to pressure this time from COOL HAND RICH and bumped SHOOT THE NICKEL once more, chased three wide until tucked inside through the turn, angled four to five wide into upper stretch and tired. COUSIN ED stumbled at the break and then got caught in the chain of bumps initiated by COOL HAND RICH, chased along the inside, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and tired. SENOR PICKLES coaxed from the gate, chased along the inside and then just off the inside, lost action inside the nine-sixteenths and was placed to a protective hold and expertly guided back through the field half a mile from home being eased up before getting pulled up in the vicinity of the three-eighths marker, got attended to and vetted and was subsequently transported off the course via the equine ambulance. There was a Claim of foul by the rider of COOL HAND RICH alleging interference against MAJESTIC ARC just after the start. After review, the objection was dismissed and the result was allowed to stand prior to the race being declared official.
