NEVER SAY UNCLE chased the pace down the backstretch, went around most of the turn in the two path, ranged up behind the top two coming to the five-sixteenths pole, shifted to the three path while asked outside the quarter-pole, rallied to the lead in upper stretch and drew away under steady urging to prove much the best. TRANQUIL SEA showed no speed while ridden along, went around the turn in the four path, turned into upper stretch under a drive, drifted in around the sixteenth-pole and safely secured the place. KID RICH moved up under urging to get the lead then set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied in the two path while roused on the turn, lost the advantage to the winner in upper stretch and weakened while clear for the show then was transported off the track via equine ambulance while reported to have bled. WINSTON D was fractious in the gate, dropped back while ridden along, angled in near the five-eighths pole, saved ground on the turn and was no factor. THIRSTED was away alertly, showed speed then pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three then four path on the turn, dropped back into upper stretch and faded.
