KARANTHOS bumped at the start with HOT CAKE, stalked duel inside, challenged outside stretch, bumped by HOT CAKE drifting out in early stretch, opened up, drifted out into the path of THIRSTY BABY in mid stretch, drew out. THIRSTY BABY stalked five-wide, rallied, bothered, steadied mid stretch, kept coming but was unable to regain previous momentum. NO MAGIC stalked duel four-wide, rallied for show. HOT CAKE, bumped start, forced pace inside, opened up late turn, drifted out early stretch, gave way. PRIX DE WEST dueled outside, forced issue into turn, gave way after mid turn. EL MUZN broke a step slow, advanced inside, tired. HAPPY BIRTHDAY stalked four-wide, dropped back turn, faded. The rider aboard THIRSTY BABY lodged a claim of foul against the rider of KARANTHOS for interference in mid stretch. As a result, KARANTHOS was disqualified from first and placed second.
