LT. NORM pressed outside, forced issue turn, took over late turn, opened up into stretch, drew out. THUSLY INSPIRED stalked off rail early, came over into turn bothering THIRSTY BABY and forcing that one to steady along the rail, stalked bid battle inside turn, rallied for place. LUCKY APPEAL came over early and bumped SALTO DEL LUPO to his inside shortly after the break, cleared briefly, led inside under pressure turn, gave way in late turn. THIRSTY BABY, well placed inside, put in tight into turn, steadied, moved off rail, rallied outside. SHANKADOPOLOUS hopped at the break, saved ground, advanced four-wide late turn. SALTO DEL LUPO, bumped and steadied early, stalked four-five wide, faded. MAJOR SHEPARD stalked three-four-wide, faded. The rider aboard THIRSTY BABY lodged a claim of foul against the rider of THUSLY INSPIRED for interference into the turn. As a result, THUSLY INSPIRED was disqualified from second and placed third. The rider aboard SALTO DEL LUPO lodged a claim of foul against the rider of LUCKY APPEAL for interference shortly after the break. As a result, LUCKY APPEAL was disqualified from third and placed sixth.
