Footnotes
BELLEZZA (IRE) tracked the pace under a firm hold along the inside in the pocket, remained patiently handled through to the quarter pole despite her rivals in and around her getting busy, spun just off the inside into upper stretch with a seam between foes, had that seam shut down when WHATLOVELOOKSLIKE came out to look BEACH BOMB in the eye, altered to the rail with about three-sixteenths to go roused for the drive, rallied up the inside to tackle to the top pair taking command inside the eighth pole, then edged clear to the finish to score. BEACH BOMB (SAF) broke out at the start forcing LA MEHANA to steady, settled tracking the leader in closest aim from the two path, remained patiently handled until a light hold until placed to light coaxing three furlongs out, came under further encouragement nearing the quarter pole and swung three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive head to head with the leader taking narrow command just outside the eighth pole, dug in and was collared nearing the sixteenth marker, ran on clear and willingly for the place honors. SILVOLOGY saved ground at the tail of the compact field under a light hold, remained patiently handled until placed to brief coaxing just inside the three-eighths, had to be taken in hand when off heels of BELLEZZA unable to tip out near the five-sixteenths awaiting LE MEHANA to clear outside, tipped out behind that rival set down for the drive angled four wide into upper stretch continuing to follow that rival, improved position through to the finish to procure the show honors on the wire. LA MEHANA (FR) steadied at the start when BEACH BOMB broke outwards, settled tracking the front from the one and one under a light hold patiently ridden until coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, angled four wide at the head of the stretch, weakened in the very late stages. WHATLOVELOOKSLIKE coaxed from the gate, showed the way rated on the pace along the inside through sensible and dawdling splits early on, remained on hold awaiting a challenge and got one with five-sixteenths to run, came under coaxing near the quarter pole before being let out taking the inside route into upper stretch, slipped to the two path straightened away to look BEACH BOMB in the eye, dug in and was collared just outside the eighth pole, then weakened in the very late going.
