Footnotes
OUR LIBERTY BELLE moved up nearing the three-quarter pole then was well placed just off the pace, saved ground while asked on the turn, cut the corner into the stretch, moved off the rail under a drive while in pursuit of the runner-up, gained on that opponent into the final sixteenth and got up to win going away. WILLOW BEND angled in while going to the front, contested the pace on the inside of two foes, vied along the rail on the turn, inched clear late on that bend, was roused inside the quarter-pole then came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, remained clear under the crop into the final sixteenth but was overtaken while able to hold the place. I'M BUZZY was taken in hand early then rated just off the pace on the outside, rounded the turn in the four path, was given her cue near the five-sixteenths pole, turned into the stretch in the five path, remained on her inside lead until inside the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead and finished willingly but missed the place while clear for the show. PISTOL LIZ ABLAZEN dropped back after the start then fell well behind under urging, moved from the two path to three path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the six path and improved position for the last spot in the superfecta. LA VITA SOFIA was hustled from the gate, contested the pace on the outside of two foes, vied in the three path on the turn, dropped back late on that bend, chased into upper stretch and tired. SHEZANARCTICQUEEN moved up near the three-quarter pole then was rated just off the pace while tugging at the bit, traveled around the turn in the two path, was asked with three furlongs to run, spun into the stretch in the three path and lacked the needed kick. RACHEL'S ROCK was restless in the gate then broke a step slow, moved up with six furlongs to run then was rated just off the pace while tugging at the bit, raced in the three path early on the turn, was roused while shifting to the five path with three furlongs to run, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response. EQUUS was hustled from the start, contested the pace between horses, was asked in the two path while still between horses on the turn, lost touch with the leader late on that bend, was crowded while dropping back into the stretch and capitulated.
