Footnotes
SITTIN CHILLY bumped with a rival at the start then was hustled, moved up to set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied in the two path under extra left-rein pressure early on the turn then dropped to the rail, was given hie cue outside the quarter-pole, lost the advantage to the runner-up while under the crop into the stretch, fought back to regain the lead just inside the furlong marker, shook clear outside the sixteenth-pole and proved best under a strong hand-ride to the finish. MAGIC BEACH stalked the pace on the outside, ranged up in the four then three path on the turn, made a bid at the five-sixteenths pole, was roused outside the quarter-pole, took the lead into the stretch, led under a drive into the final furlong then lost the advantage back to the winner and was outfinished while clear for the place. RIDOLFI broke in and brushed the gate, was well placed just off the pace, raced inside early on the turn, began to climb into kickback near the three-eighths pole, continued to climb while shifting out to the four path later on that bend, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed kick while able to get the show. NINE N FOUR was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, settled at the rear, was guided around the turn in the two path, came out into upper stretch, reached the six path around the three-sixteenths pole then drifted a bit further out and failed to threaten. MAN FROM MALTA bumped with a rival at the start then was hustled, showed speed then pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three then two path on the turn, was urged between horses late on that bend, dropped back into upper stretch then moved out some and tired. SWEPT was hustled from the gate then urged along off the pace, dropped back late on the backstretch, moved from the five path to the three path early on the turn, shifted to the four path inside the three-eighths pole and failed to respond.
