Footnotes
MY BOY PRINCE moved in while placed under a tight hold, stalked the pace on the outside under heavy restraint, made a bid leaving the backstretch, vied in the two path while between horses on the turn, took the lead near the quarter-pole, shook clear while put to a drive in upper stretch, swapped back to his inside lead inside the sixteenth-pole and held under strong urging. BOLD JOURNEY bumped with a rival at the start, moved in while urged along off the pace, dropped from the four path to the three path midway through the turn, shifted to the five path late on that bend, gained in the seven path into the stretch, pursued the winner while outside in the drive and finished willingly to just get the place. ALOGON moved in while taken under a vigorous hold towards the front, was rated just off the pace, lost position off heels late on the backstretch and into the turn, moved from the two path to the three path while still under snug restraint late on that bend, swung out to the five path into the stretch then was roused, pursued the winner while inside of foes in the stretch and also finished willingly but just missed the place while narrowly able to get the show. TWENTY SIX BLACK had a shoe repaired in the paddock, broke out then brushed with a foe then was hustled, raced on the outside while urged along, moved up quickly late on the backstretch, stalked outside in the four path on the turn, was asked for his best in upper stretch, chased the winner to the finish and just missed the trifecta. SENBEI was forced out then bumped at the start then taken in hand in tight quarters, raced towards the rear under urging, went around most of the turn in the three path then moved to the four path, turned into the stretch in the six path, was driven between foes in upper stretch and improved to just miss the superfecta. SHARDS settled off the pace, dropped from the three path to the two path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, chased the leader into the final furlong and lacked the needed kick. HORSEPOWER stumbled at the start, was rated off the pace, raced under vigorous restraint off heels leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, shifted to the two path outside the quarter-pole, moved out in upper stretch and also lacked the needed kick. MARCUS GIFT was urged along on the inside of a rival, moved up quicky late on the backstretch, made a bid at the seven-sixteenths pole, vied three wide on the turn, dropped back under a drive in upper stretch and tired. NOTHING BETTER broke alertly and went straight to the front, showed the way down the backstretch, vied inside on the turn, was asked late on that bend, lost the advantage near the quarter-pole and gave way. APOLLO TEN was hard held while rated just off the pace, became rank behind horses late on the backstretch and dropped back some into the turn, saved ground on that bend and came up empty.
