Footnotes
SCARLET POPPY (IRE) went around the first turn in the two path, settled off the pace, saved ground while under urging for most of the far turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole, shifted to the four path into the stretch, rallied to get the lead outside the sixteenth-pole, drifted in late and just held under strong urging. AWESOME CZECH saved ground on the first turn, settled in the middle of the field, was asked while moving from the two path to the four path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the five path, rallied outside to make a bid outside the sixteenth-pole, fought outside of the winner to the finish and just missed while clear for the place. NEXT ON STAGE was hustled to the front then sped clear, raced inside on the first turn, showed the way with a clear advantage, vied inside on the far turn, was asked near the quarter-pole then came under a drive in upper stretch, led under a drive into the final furlong, was overtaken outside the sixteenth-pole and weakened but was clear for the show. HIGHLAND LIGHT traveled around the first turn in the two path, was urged along near the back, rounded the far turn in the two path, spun into the stretch in the four path and improved position to get the last spot in the superfecta. ORI was hustled from the gate, rounded the first turn in the two path, followed the solo leader from second, was asked outside the three-eighths pole, chased in the two path on the turn, pursued the leader under a drive into the final furlong and tired. WIND FLOWER tucked in early, raced in the two path for most of the first turn then dropped to the rail, settled off the pace, saved ground on the far turn, was roused near the five-sixteenths pole, angled out in upper stretch, chased while remaining on her inside lead into the final furlong, swapped to the proper lead near the sixteenth-pole and lacked the needed kick. HOLA GATA settled towards the rear, saved ground on the turns and lacked the needed response. STAMP OF APPROVAL raced in the three path on the first turn, settled towards the front on the outside, was roused with three furlongs to run, dropped back in the three path on the turn and came up empty. ANILEATE lagged at the rear, saved ground on the turns, came out into upper stretch and was no factor.
