Footnotes
REDDINGTON broke out and bumped with a foe, showed speed and contested the pace, vied along the rail on the turn, was roused at the five-sixteenths pole, came under a left-handed crop in upper stretch, dueled inside of the runner-up to the finish and gamely prevailed under strong urging. HOLIDAY PAY came inward at the start, disputed the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, was given his cue outside the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, dueled gamely outside of the winner to the finish and was denied while clear for the place. STRAPPED was slow into stride and spotted the front a few lengths, was urged along near the back, went around most of the turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, spun into the stretch in the five path and finished willingly for the show. GENERAL PARTNER broke through the front of the gate prior to the start, was bumped at the start then forced hard into another foe and steadied, spotted the front several lengths, settled off the pace, dropped from the four path to the two path on the turn, moved out while getting closer under a drive in upper stretch, chased the leading duo into the final furlong and weakened. DRAKE'S PASSAGE angled out early then tracked the leading duo on the outside, was asked in the four path on the turn, chased into upper stretch and weakened. WHITTINGTON PARK bumped very hard with a rival at the start and was slow into stride, spotted the front several lengths, settled on the outside, moved in before the three-quarter pole, came under urging before the five-eighths pole, went around most of the turn in the three path then moved to the four path, dropped back to the three path into upper stretch and lacked the needed response.
