CATCH THE SMOKE came under hustling from the gate when away last without incident, chased three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, advanced on the top pair and swung five wide into upper stretch, rallied to issue a challenge through the final furlong seizing command a sixteenth from home, then edged away to the finish to prevail. SUERTE dueled from the four path with WINTER'S GHOST to his inside, tucked to the two path into the turn and shook away at the three-eighths, swung three to four wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught at the sixteenth pole, kept on to secure the place honors. WINTER'S GHOST coaxed from the start, dueled inside of the aforementioned foe three paths off the rail until tucked inside into the turn, came under coaxing at the three-eighths in the midst of being shaken off, spun two to three wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. CUMBERLAND BLUES chased six paths off the inside until tucked to the two path five furlongs out, came under a ride at the three-eighths marker, swung three wide into upper stretch and weakened. BEACHWALKER brushed the near side stall at the start, chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under prolonged urging from the half mile pole, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and tired. CENTAVO coaxed from the gate, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn ridden along from three furlongs out, tipped four wide for home, tired in the stretch.
