Footnotes
WIDDERSHINS saved ground on the first turn, settled while unhurried off the pace, dropped from the two path to the rail on the far turn, was guided out behind a foe after turning into the stretch, rallied outside into the final furlong, closed fast to make a bid near the sixteenth-pole and got up to prevail. SAIPAN rounded the first turn in the two path, was well placed just off the pace, raced inside on the far turn, was asked in the two path at the quarter-pole, chased under a drive in upper stretch, moved in around the furlong marker, gained to make a bid into the final sixteenth but missed while able to get the place. DANCIN JANE went around the opening bend in the three path, stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid near the nine-sixteenths pole, vied in the two path on the far turn, was given her cue at the quarter-pole then came out into upper stretch, chased into the final sixteenth and was outfinished but earned the show. LUCY PLAYA was hustled to the front, showed the way on the inside with a clear advantage, was challenged near the nine-sixteenths pole, vied inside while asked on the far turn, responded well under a drive in upper stretch, led into the final sixteenth then swapped back to her inside lead while being overtaken and just held the last spot in the superfecta. ADDAGIRL ADDIE rounded the first turn in the two then three path, settled towards the rear, was roused in the three then four path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the five path, drifted in under a right-handed crop near the furlong marker, switched to a left-handed crop around the sixteenth-pole and gained some but missed the minor awards. FIFI LA FUME was taken under a strong hold early then moved out, raced in the three then four path on the first turn, was reserved near the back, traveled around the far turn in the three then four path, turned into upper stretch in the six path then moved a bit further out and failed to threaten. MISCHIEVOUS TRICK saved ground while settling at the rear, was urged along passing the seven-sixteenths pole, raced inside through the far turn, was put to a drive in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. BROKEN ZIPPER raced in the three path on the first turn, settled on the outside, was roused in the two then three path on the far turn, dropped back in the four path into the stretch and came up empty. FAUVE broke a step slow, dropped well behind early while taking very short strides and was pulled up then transported off the course via equine ambulance.
