Footnotes
BACKCHECK moved around in the stall just prior to the break and was off slow, spotted the front several lengths, settled on the inside, took an awkward stride against the rail midway through the far turn then was roused, rallied in the two path in upper stretch, closed fast to make a bid at the eighth-pole then took the lead, battled with the runner-up to the finish and proved best under strong handling. PRINCESS SUMMER brushed with foes on both sides at the start, traveled around the first turn in the two path, settled near the middle of the field, was roused while shifting from the two path to the four path on the far turn, rallied six wide into upper stretch, closed strongly to make a bid at the eighth-pole, battled outside of the winner to the finish and missed while able to get the place. CATHOLIC EDITION went around the first turn in the two path, settled towards the rear on the outside, was roused in the three path on the far turn, swung out to the seven path into the stretch, drifted in while gaining just inside the furlong marker and finished willingly for the show. OTHERPEOPLESMONEY went to the front, showed the way on the inside, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole, led under a drive into the final furlong then was overtaken and weakened late. PUREST PERFORMANCE broke out then brushed with a foe, was keen under restraint into the first turn, saved ground on that bend, was rated towards the front, moved from the rail to the two path under extra left-rein guidance on the far turn, came out to the four path at the quarter-pole then jostled with a foe before being pulled off that rival and lacked the needed response. SYL'S PLEASURE angled in early, settled in the two path, was roused while moving closer on the far turn, held a reasonable striking position into the final furlong but lacked the needed response. KISSED BY KARMA raced between foes into the first turn, rounded that bend in the three path, prompted the pace on the outside, was asked with three furlongs to run, chased in the two path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the three path, pursued the leaders under a drive into the final furlong and tired. THE SPLENDID ONE established a forward position early, went around the opening bend in the four path, stalked the pace on the outside, dropped back leaving the backstretch, was urged along in the three path on the final turn, jostled with a foe while being pushed to the five path into upper stretch then steadied some and came up empty. SECRET FIRE brushed with a rival at the start then was hustled, raced in the three path on the first turn, settled on the outside, was roused with three furlongs to run, chased in the four then five path on the far turn, dropped back in the seven path into the stretch and capitulated. DOWN IN DIXIE was a bit reluctant to load, raced at the rear while traveling around the turns in the three path, moved out some in the stretch and was no factor.
