Footnotes
SCARBOROUGH FAIR was sent hard to the front then showed the way, went around the turn in the two path, responded well when asked outside the quarter-pole, came under the crop in upper stretch, drifted out in the final furlong and held under strong urging. DOLCE SERA moved up then tracked the pace on the outside, ranged up in the three path on the turn, made a bid inside the five-sixteenths pole, was roused in the four path into the stretch, battled outside of the winner while moving well out in the track in the drive and missed but earned the place. HARLAN'S BOND was hustled from the gate, established a good position just off the pace, saved ground on the turn, was asked at the quarter-pole, chased under a drive in the stretch and lacked the needed kick while clear for the show. CAROL SAID NO settled off the pace, was roused in the two then three path on the turn, moved out under a drive in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. FOXY CARA broke a half-step slow and was last to commence, moved out early then settled at the rear, shifted further out outside the nine-sixteenths pole, was roused in the four path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the six path then quickly drifted out to around the eight path and failed to respond.
