MACAW broke in at the start bumping BRAVE BEAR in tandem with PRINCE OF TRUTH, who broke outwards, chased five to six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung five wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command just inside the eighth pole, then edged clear to the finish. BRAVE BEAR got bumped between foes at the start who each broke his way, chased five paths off the inside just off the pace dispute up front, continued five wide through the turn coaxed along from three furlongs out, went seven to eight wide into upper stretch, kicked on belatedly to the finish. DIALBOLICO hustled from the gate, vied three wide down the backstretch between foes, then dueled through the turn with MESSI THE MAGICIAN to his inside under the watchful eye of MACKVILLE to the outside, swung four wide into upper stretch taking sole command at the three-sixteenths and shaking off those rivals, was confronted by the top one near the eighth pole, got collared just inside that station, then weakened in the late stages while clear for the show honors. MACKVILLE coaxed from the start, led briefly early on before vying from the four path with a pair to his inside down the backstretch, got shaken off a bit in the turn and chased in closest aim of the duel coming under urging at the three-eighths marker, angled six wide into upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong. MESSI THE MAGICIAN hustled away from the barrier, vied from the two path inside a pair of rivals before emerging to duel with DIALBOLICO through the turn coaxed along from midway, spun three wide into upper stretch, yielded the front with three-sixteenths to go and weakened through to the finish. PRINCE OF TRUTH broke out at the start bumping BRAVE BEAR in tandem with MACAW, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn under encouragement from the three-eighths pole, swung five wide into upper stretch, weakened. SHAKIN THE BELLE coaxed from the start, chased four to five wide under a ride from three furlongs out, went eight wide at the top of the stretch and tired. VESUVIO coaxed from the gate, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under encouragement from the seven-sixteenths, cornered three wide at the head of the lane, made no impact.
