UPON A STAR showed speed and set the pace, vied in the two path on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, drifted out near the sixteenth-pole and held determinedly under steady urging. GELLHORN broke out at the start, chased the pace down the backstretch, went around the turn in the four path, was driven into the stretch in the five path, bumped with a rival inside the three-sixteenths pole, pursued the winner under a drive past the eighth-pole, inched closer to that foe while finishing with good courage in the final furlong but missed while clear for the place. PRACTICAL LOV broke out at the start, was coaxed along towards the front on the outside, dropped from the five path to the two path early on the turn, swung out to the six path into the stretch, moved in a bit in the drive and finished willingly for the show. LAUGHING LADY raced just off the pace on the inside, saved ground on the turn, was given her cue near the five-sixteenths pole, chased under a drive into the final furlong and weakened. SUGAR RUN bumped with a rival at the start then stumbled after the break, angled in at the rear early, moved out late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the four then three path, came out to the eight path into the stretch and improved position. HOME WRECKER bumped with a rival at the start, dropped back while off heels a bit early then moved in, went around the turn in the three then four path, spun into the stretch in the seven path and lacked the needed response. FAST MARKET chased the pace, made a bid in the three path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, bumped with an opponent just inside the three-sixteenths pole, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. HIDDEN AGENDA was urged along off the pace, traveled around the turn in the two path and failed to respond. SONJA HENIE dropped back while urged along then climbed nearing the five-eighths pole, moved to the outside shortly thereafter, rounded the turn in the six path, spun into the stretch in the eighth path then dropped in and was no factor.
