WILLOW BEND dropped back early then settled off the pace, advanced while moving from the three path to the five path on the turn, rallied outside into upper stretch, closed strongly to make a bid inside the furlong marker, took the lead at the sixteenth-pole and prevailed under good handling. KITTEN'S APPEAL pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three path on the turn, took the lead into the stretch, led under a drive until the sixteenth-pole then was caught while able to get the place. ALWAYS ANGELS showed speed then went to the front, set the pace under pressure from both sides, dropped in leaving the backstretch, vied in the two path on the turn, lost the advantage into the stretch, fought on into the final sixteenth and weakened. MISS LAO chased the pace on the outside then in the four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed kick. WILL BE FAMOUS bumped with a rival at the start, settled off the pace, had the rider reach down and adjust his left-iron approaching the five-eighths pole, was roused in the two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the three path and lacked the needed response. LIKA ROLLING STONE was hustled from the gate, pressed the pace on the inside of the leader, dropped back some late on the backstretch, chased inside on the turn and tired. EQUUS bumped with a rival at the start while hustled, pressed the pace between horses, dropped back some late on the backstretch, was taken up while lugging out into the turn, moved from the two path to the four path while falling to the rear on that bend and failed to respond.
