DEAR CHAIRMAN went to the front then showed the way off the inside, went around most of the turn in the two path, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole then dropped to the rail late on the bend, responded well when given one pop of a left-handed crop in upper stretch, switched to a right-handed crop and was given one pop inside the furlong marker and proved best under a strong hand-ride from that point to the finish. TOSCANO moved out while urged along early, advanced to prompt the pace on the outside of the leader, was asked in the three path early on the turn, dropped to the two path late on that bend, came under the crop in upper stretch and was outfinished while clear for the place. JAA MODE leaned out and was last to commence then dropped back a bit, settled off the pace, saved ground for most of the turn, was roused near the five-sixteenths pole, shifted to the two then three path outside the quarter-pole, chased into upper stretch and weakened but was well clear for the show. THREE CAPTAINS raced just off the pace, was asked late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the two three path and came up empty. CORVUS dropped back after the start, tracked then chased the pace on the outside, went around the turn in the four path, spun into upper stretch in the five path and capitulated. BAD LARRY was urged along early, raced between foes passing the three-quarter pole, dropped back with five furlongs to run then climbed a bit, moved out shortly thereafter, rounded the turn in the five path, spun into the stretch in the six path and had nothing left.
