Footnotes
BOTTLE ROCKET (FR) stumbled at the start and was off a bit slow, angled in under urging early, settled on the inside, was roused on the far turn, angled to the three path while gaining late on that bend, rallied in the four path into the stretch then took the lead near the three-sixteenths pole, shook clear under a right-handed crop inside the furlong marker, switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole and proved best under steady urging. TWIRLY angled in on the opening straightaway, saved ground while well placed just off the pace, shifted to the two path near the five-sixteenths pole, was roused in the three path into the stretch, made a bid near the three-sixteenths pole, lost touch with the winner inside the furlong marker, shifted out a path around the sixteenth-pole and safely secured the place. TEMPLE CITY TABOO went to the front, showed the way on the inside while in hand, was let out under heavy pressure on the far turn then asked after being headed coming to the quarter-pole, battled under a drive in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but earned the show. PALLOTTA SISTERS established a forward position early, raced in the two path on the first turn, prompted the pace on the outside, turned up the pressure on the leader in the two path on the far turn, took the lead approaching the quarter-pole, was asked after turning into the stretch then lost the advantage to the winner, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. THIRTEEN RED FLAGS was taken in hand early, raced in the three path on the first turn, was rated on the outside, came under urging near the seven-sixteenths pole, went around the far turn in the two to three path, turned into upper stretch under a drive and failed to respond. CELESTIAL EXPRESS was off very slow, went around the first turn in the two path, settled at the rear, was urged along in the two then three path on the far turn, turned into the stretch under the crop and lacked the needed response.
