Footnotes
MIDNIGHTLOVEAFFAIR broke very fast then angled in while going clear, was taken under a snug hold then showed the way, controlled the action in the two path through the turn, responded well when asked inside the three-sixteenths pole and drew off under a solid hand-ride to prove much the best. SILVER PEARLS was forced in at the start, settled off the pace, saved ground early on the turn, moved to the two then three path while roused late on that bend, turned into upper stretch under a drive and narrowly earned the place while no match for the winner. NEW ISSUE angled in early then moved up to track the pace, was given her cue in the two path on the turn, chased the winner under a drive into the final furlong and proved no match then lost the place while able to get the show. SHEER WILL broke in at the start, was urged along at the rear, moved from the two path to the three path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the four path, drifted out some in the vicinity of the furlong marker and lacked the needed response. TAFAANY settled on the outside, dropped back near the seven-sixteenths pole, rounded the turn in the three path and came up empty.
