Footnotes
ROOFER came inward at the start then bumped a foe with his hindquarters, went to the front then showed the way with a clear advantage, dictated terms in the two path on the turn, responded well when asked near the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker then drifted out some, responded well in the final furlong and extended the advantage under steady urging. MERICA'S BACK broke out and bumped soundly with a foe and was off a bit slow, moved up under urging then was taken under a tight hold and rated just off the pace, dropped from the two path to the rail early on the turn, stalked the leader going around that bend, was roused in the three path into the stretch, drifted out in pursuit of the winner outside the furlong marker and safely secured the place. CHRIS'S SONG was hustled from the gate, chased the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, turned into upper stretch in the four path while under a drive and tired but was clearly best of the rest. ANMOLO was bumped just after the start then dropped back while having his path taken, raced well off the pace while climbing some under urging, moved from the three path to the two path early on the turn, shifted to the four path late on that bend and failed to threaten. THE CRAFTSMAN broke in then bumped soundly with a foe and was off slow then squeezed back, raced at the rear under urging, saved ground on the turn and was no factor. SANZIO broke out then was hustled, raced on the outside while urged along, went around most of the turn in the four then five path, dropped to the three path late on that bend and failed to respond. COLLEGE HUNK broke out then was corrected with the left-rein, was well placed just off the pace, steadied in tight quarters along the rail late on the backstretch then dropped back, moved from the rail to the two path near the three-eighths pole then came out to the four path, turned into the stretch in the five path and had nothing left.
