Footnotes
TRUST FUND was hustled from the gate, angled in early then moved back out inside the three-quarter pole, was ridden along off the pace, dropped in leaving the backstretch, raced in the two to three path from that point, steadied off heels at the five-sixteenths pole, shifted to the four path shortly thereafter, rallied outside into upper stretch, closed well to get the lead just inside the furlong marker and prevailed under good handling. UNCLE GEORGE came outward at the start while hustled, moved out twice while urged along on the backstretch, advanced closer near the half-mile pole, chased in the four then three path on the turn, made a bid while put to the crop at the quarter-pole, fought on with two foes into the final sixteenth and was outfinished while able to get the place. FIREBALLIN stalked the pace on the outside, vied in the three path early on the turn, took the lead outside the three-eighths pole, moved to the two path before the five-sixteenths pole, was asked at the top of the stretch, led under a drive into the final furlong then was headed by the winner, battled into the final sixteenth and weakened but held the show. KENNY BE broke out at the start, was well placed just off the pace, raced inside early on the turn, moved to the two path while asked nearing the five-sixteenths pole, came a bit further out while chasing under a drive in the stretch, kept on to the finish but lacked the needed kick and missed the show. TARPAULIN had his bridle changed in the paddock, lost his footing some in the hindquarters at the start, was off a bit slow then taken up and dropped back, spotted the front several lengths, raced at the rear under urging, dropped from the two path to the rail on the turn and was no factor. SIR KARTRITE was sent hard to the front, showed the way on the inside of a rival, lost the lead while in the two path outside the three-eighths pole, dropped to the rail nearing the five-sixteenths pole and tired. DUCKY MEDWICK broke near the back then was brushed and forced out after the start, dropped back in the process, steadied briefly near the eleven-sixteenths pole, came under urging shortly thereafter while well off the pace, went around the turn in the three then four path and failed to respond.
