Footnotes
AMERICAN GRANT was taken under a tight hold early then rated inside to the two path, came under urging on the far turn, swung out to the five path into upper stretch then rallied on the outside, closed fast to get the lead inside the furlong marker and proved best under strong handling. MIZTERTONIC went around the first turn in the three path, settled on the outside, was roused in the three path on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the six path, drifted in some while gaining near the furlong marker and finished willingly for the place. EL DE LARRY gained a forward position early, prompted the pace on the outside in the three then two path, turned up the pressure on the leader on the far turn, took the advantage coming to the quarter then spun into the stretch in the three path, led under a drive into the final furlong then was headed by the winner and was outfinished while just able to get the show. AMPLITUDE angled in at the rear early, saved ground on the first turn, was unhurried near the back, moved from the rail to the two path under urging on the far turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, moved out inside the furlong marker and improved to just miss the show. CHARLES J settled on the inside, was roused while moving closer on the far turn, came off the rail under a drive into upper stretch, held a good striking position into the final furlong but flattened out and lacked the needed kick. ALAN TURING was hustled from the gate then taken under a hold early, moved out before the wire the first time then dropped back in, became keen under restraint nearing the first turn then tugged on the bit, saved ground while rated just off the pace, was let out on the far turn, swung out to the four path into upper stretch and weakened. MAGNI traveled around the first turn in the two path, settled towards the back, raced in the three path on the far turn and failed to threaten. A LISTER became keen nearing the first turn, tugged on the bit while gaining between foes then bobbled into that bend, was rated in the two then three path, came under urging on the far turn and failed to respond. STORMY BIRTHDAY went to the front, showed the way on the inside while inside of a foe, was asked under threat on the far turn, lost the advantage at the quarter-pole, dropped back into the final furlong and gave way. FIRST PITCH went around the first turn in the three path, settled just off the pace on the outside, was asked in the three then four path on the far turn, dropped back in the five path into the stretch and faltered. VESUVIO lagged towards the rear in the two path and showed little then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
