Footnotes
HURRICANE NELSON went to the front then showed the way with a clear advantage, dictated terms in the two path on the turn, was asked coming to the five-sixteenths pole, responded well when put to a right-handed crop in upper stretch, switched to a left-handed crop approaching the furlong marker and proved much the best under steady urging. LOCKE AND KEY settled at the rear, angled from the rail to the five path while roused on the turn, turned into the stretch in the six path and improved to narrowly get the place. TREATY OBLIGATION chased the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, pursued the winner under a drive in the stretch and proved no match then lost the place while narrowly able to get the show. ELIMINATE moved out early on the backstretch, advanced on the outside, chased in the four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, fought with foes for the minor awards and just missed the trifecta. IGNITE THE LIGHT was well placed just off the pace, came under a strong hand-ride near the five-eighths pole, saved ground on the turn and tired. SHADOW DRAGON settled off the pace, was urged along in the two path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, moved to the rail outside the sixteenth-pole and lacked the needed response. EXPLORATION was urged along on the outside early then dropped back, brushed with a foe late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the three then four path, turned into upper stretch in the five path and came up empty.
