FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. Lasix not allowed within 48 hours of post time pursuant to HISA Rule 4212. By subscription of $500 each which should accompany the nomination; $3,000 to pass the entry box and an additional $4,500 to start. For horses not o riginally nominated, a supplemental nomination payment of $2,500 in addition to the entry and starting fees may be made at any time prior to the closing of entries. Three Year Olds: 120 lbs. Older: 124 lbs. Trophies will be presented to the winning owner, trainer and jockey. The New York Racing Association reserves the right to transfer this race to the Main Track. REBEL'S ROMANCE (IRE) tracked the pace in the two path on the first turn, turned into the stretch for the first time in the three path, moved to the lead with a mile to run then dropped to the inside while going clear, was well rated in front, responded well when asked along the rail on the final turn, spun into the stretch in the three path, came under a right-handed crop near the three-sixteenths pole, responded well in the final furlong and proved much the best under steady urging. REDISTRICTING (GB) went to the front, led inside on the first turn, came off the inside entering the stretch for the first time, lost the advantage with a mile to run, moved out then tracked outside in the two path, was asked late on the final turn, spun into the stretch in the four path, chased the winner in the drive and proved no match while just able to get the place. EL CORDOBES (IRE) saved ground on the first turn, came out entering the stretch for the first time, was reserved in the two path, came under urging on the final turn then moved to the three path, turned into upper stretch in the six path and just missed the place while clear for the show. FAR BRIDGE was eased back early, rounded the first turn in the two path, dropped to the rail before the wire for the first turn, saved ground while reserved, was asked outside the quarter-pole, chased into upper stretch and lacked the needed response. REBEL RED (GB) dropped to the rear, saved ground while reserved at the back, was roused at the quarter-pole and failed to rally.
