Footnotes
LOCKED coaxed from the gate, raced just off the inside through the first turn and down the backstretch coming under light coaxing five furlongs from home before coming under more pronounced urging near the half mile pole, tucked inside through the far turn and steadily made progress with POST TIME to the outside, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under a drive and had the leader come inwards taking the path in front just inside the eighth pole and tipped out a path, then rallied to wear down the leader seizing command in the final jumps to score. PHILEAS FOGG established the front from the get go and showed the way four then three wide through the first turn, settled in hand four paths off the rail down the backstretch, the rider taking a look periodically to size up where his competition lay, tucked three then two wide into the far turn and had his rivals take closer order three furlongs out, got placed to coaxing at the five-sixteenths in response, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive coming in a path to take the lane in front of LOCKED just inside the eighth pole, had that rival tip out and was under growing late threat to the outside, yielded strides from the finish while clear for the place honors. POST TIME brushed the near side stall at the start getting away last, raced along the inside through the first turn and then tipped three paths off the inside down the backstretch, remained three wide through the far turn advancing and coming under urging at the five-sixteenths, tipped four wide at the top of the stretch, kept on to chase the top pair home.
