Footnotes
SMILE MON was hustled from the gate, moved out early then pressed the pace on the outside, took the lead near the nine-sixteenths pole, vied in the three path on the turn, shook clear outside the five-sixteenths pole, extended the advantage into upper stretch, was put to the crop coming to the furlong marker and proved much the best under strong urging. PRINCIPE D'ORO was hustled from the gate then chased the pace, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path while under a drive and earned the place while no match for the winner. STREET SWAGG angled out early then was coaxed along on the outside, came under stronger encouragement in the five path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the six path and lacked the needed response while able to get the show. PROVE WORTHY was slow into stride then void of speed under strong urging, dropped well back, saved ground on the turn, moved off the rail around the sixteenth-pole and failed to threaten. COOL OPERATOR was hustled to the front, moved in near the three-quarter pole, lost the lead around the nine-sixteenths pole, was urged along late on the backstretch, vied inside to the two path on the turn, dropped back outside the five-sixteenths pole and tired. INDIANQUEST dropped well back while showing no speed, went around the turn in the three path and was no factor.
