LANDAUER settled tracking the pace from mid pack while along the inside, remained patiently handled until roused taking the inside route into upper stretch, rallied up an open rail as rivals tipped out to seize command just outside the eighth pole, edged clear briefly under a drive and then dug in holding safe to the wire over a late closing rival. LANDMAN FRIDAY got bumped askew and altered out six and a half furlongs out as UNION EXPRESS hit the rail and was checked at that station coming out and making contact with LANDMAN FRIDAY'S hind end, settled tracking the front just off the inside from mid pack, came under urging at the five-sixteenths and tipped out from the two path to culminate in an angle swinging seven to eight wide at the head of the stretch, closed well outside under a drive but ultimately got staved off at the finish in a good effort. REAL SAVVY settled just off the inside just off the pace, remained patiently handled until set down angled five wide into upper stretch, ran on to secure the show honors. READY SET TWIRL tracked the pace along the inside and was patiently handled until let out spinning from the two path into upper stretch, offered up a bid and kept on to the finish. COGNOSCENTI altered out a path six and a half furlongs from home when UNION EXPRESS hit the rail, chased three wide, got set down angled five wide into upper stretch and improved position to the end. THE BOONDOCKER showed the way in hand along the inside and then just off the inside coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, took the inside route into upper stretch, got displaced just outside the eighth pole and weakened. OATH OF OMERTA raced three wide in closest aim of the leader, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, swung three to four wide into upper stretch, tired. SPINBACK got steadied in tight one mile from home when leaving the chute as rivals bunched up briefly, chased three then two wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths, swung four wide for home and tired. UNION EXPRESS broke through the gate prior to the start and was reloaded, chased along the inside, struck the temporary rail near the six and a half furlong marker and was checked out bumping LANDMAN FRIDAY in the hind quarters and forcing a pair of rivals to alter out while LANDAUER kept to the rail just getting through to the inside, chased along the inside at the tail of the field, got nudged along at the five-sixteenths, cornered three wide into upper stretch and made no impact.
