Footnotes
SCARLET POPPY (IRE) broke in a step at the start bumping ESCONDIDO, led briefly before settling just off the inside in closest aim of the leader, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths and spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under a drive to take command nearing the sixteenth marker, then edged clear to the finish kept to task. GENERAL AGENT got bumped at the start by VAN VOLLENHOVEN, vied briefly with a pair and then established the front shortly after, showed the way in hand along the inside, got set down spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was collared nearing the sixteenth pole, then kept on to preserve the place honors. ESCONDIDO broke out a step at the start and was bumped by SCARELT POPPY and got away last, chased three to four wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, angled six wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to the finish. VAN VOLLENHOVEN buckled at the start recovering inwards and bumping GENERAL AGENT before being brushed and pinched between rivals, chased two to three wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, bid three wide into upper stretch, then weakened in the late stages. FATHER DALTON broke in at the start brushing the aforementioned foe, chased three wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, continued three wide at the top of the stretch and offered no response. SUMMER IN ERIN chased along the inside and then just off the inside coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, angled four wide into upper stretch, made no impact. CHOU CHOU D'AVEN (FR) coaxed from the gate, vied briefly inside a pair before easing off just inside the five furlong marker to chase along the inside, remained patiently handled until let out taking the inside route into upper stretch, then weakened in the drive.
