VINSANITY stalked the pace on the outside then in the five path on the turn, was given his cue near the quarter-pole, took the lead while put to a drive in upper stretch, battled outside of the runner-up into the final sixteenth and proved best under steady handling. BOLD AMBITION was well placed just off the pace, made a bid outside of the leader with a half-mile to run, vied in the three path on the turn, took the lead just inside the five-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage to the winner under a drive in upper stretch, fought with that foe into the final sixteenth and was outfinished while clear for the place. ICE ROAD was urged along off the pace, went around most of the turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, pursued the top two in the drive and willingly earned the show. CONNIVING settled under some urging, chased inside on the turn, drifted out near the furlong marker and lacked the needed response. COUNTER ATTACK came outward at the start and brushed with a foe, went to the front then showed the way, vied in the two path on the turn, lost the lead just inside the five-sixteenths pole and tired. BEARY FUNNY brushed with a rival at the start, settled off the pace, was urged in the three then two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the four path and failed to rally. GOLDEN PURCHASE was hustled from the gate, moved out leaving the chute, was urged along on the outside at the rear, traveled around the turn in the six path and was no factor. MASTERWORK tracked the pace, came up empty in the four path on the turn and retreated.
