VALTELLINA stumbled at the break and was reserved early, two path down the backstretch and into the far turn, moved to the inside by the five sixteenths and then swung out four wide leaving the turn to make a bid, hit the front nearing the furlong marker and drew clear under left handed crop urging to prove best. BERNIETAKESCHARGE vied for the early lead and then dueled for the lead on the inside and gained a short lead leaving the three eights marker and was clear leaving the turn but was headed nearing the furlong marker and could not go with the winner in the final furlong while keeping on gamely to be clearly second best. MIDNIGHT CONCERTO was settled back early and moved to the inside, still lagged behind entering the far turn and came four wide off the bend and moved in to split rivals nearing the furlong marker and had a belated rally to best the rest. BOXED WINE was settled early and saved ground on the far turn but lacked a serious rally while improving position to gain the last spot in the superfecta. KAY CUP was rated along two wide early, moved out on the far turn and came five wide into the lane but had no rally. VEHEMENTE was three wide on the first turn and keen and was five to six wide entering the backstretch while the rider attempted to settle her down, but still was eager and dueled for command three to two wide and was three wide by the quarter pole and tired. SWEETEST PRINCESS tracked the early pace along the inside, then chased the pace on the backstretch, moved out on the far turn and came four wide into the lane but tired.
