FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. Lasix not allowed within 48 hours of post time pursuant to HISA Rule 4212. By subscription of $250 each which should accompany the nomination; $1,250 to pass the entry box and an additional $1,250 to start. For horses not o riginally nominated, a supplemental nomination payment of $1,250 in addition to the entry and starting fees may be made at any time prior to the closing of entries. The purse to be divided 55% to the owner of the winner, 20% to second, 12% to third, 6% to fourth, 4% to fifth and 3% divided equally amongst the remaining finishers. Weights: Three year olds, 122. Older, 126 lbs. Non-winners of a Graded sweepstake in 2024 allowed 2 lbs.; of a sweepstake other than state-bred in 2024 allowed 4 lbs. The first t hree finisher of the Forty Niner will have all fees waived for the Cigar Mile. A trophy will be presented to the winning owner. COASTAL MISSION bumped with a rival at the start, settled on the outside, was roused four wide on the turn, rallied to make a bid into the final furlong, took the lead outside the sixteenth-pole and prevailed under strong urging. NELSON AVENUE bumped with a rival at the start, showed speed between foes then set the pace, vied inside on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole then came under the crop in upper stretch, led until outside the sixteenth-pole then was overtaken while able to get the place. WINIT dropped back quickly after the start then moved out, was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the four then five path and improved for the show. REPO ROCKS was urged along towards the front, chased inside on the turn, pursued the leader in the stretch, moved off the rail near the sixteenth-pole and lacked the needed kick. JEFFERSON STREET showed speed inside of two foes then raced just off the pace, rounded the turn in the two path, moved out near the furlong marker and lacked the needed response. FILM STAR was hustled from the gate, showed speed then tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the two path on the turn and tired. STAGE RAIDER was urged along near the back, traveled around the turn in the two path, moved out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. MESSIER raced between foes early then was coaxed on the outside, moved closer near the five-eighths pole, chased in the three path on the turn, dropped back into upper stretch and faltered then was pulled up while bleeding from the nostrils before being transported off the track via equine ambulance.
